Offering Custom-Fit Saddles

In my teens I attended Le Bourveau Riding School in Columbus, OH.  This led me to Gladstone, N.J. headquarters of the United States Equestrian Team.  I worked for a competitive show jumper/trainer schooling horses.  On  weekends I gave riding lessons and drove a team of draft horses.  I later moved West and found my ultimate passion for trail riding, competitive endurance riding and horse camping with friends.  I’ve owned wide, narrow and angular Arabians (most with short backs), a stocky long backed Morgan, and a gaited Rocky Mountain. 

I started Custom Equine as an opportunity to do more of what I love.  I’ve ridden English, Western, treeless, flex and adjustable panel saddles.  After years of searching, I've found the shorter Western tree to be the most versatile and best overall fit in my book.  The PSI dispersed along wider bars and open channel offers maximum spinal clearance supporting horse and rider weights evenly.  This provides comfort for all types of horses and riders.

Specialized and TW Saddlery 3D fit system has been a game changer for my horses.  Most recentIy the adjustments made for my younger Arabian as he’s developed his top line and shoulder while growing into himself.  Then, last year his saddle fit became an issue as his body changed after a serious pasture accident.  With the help of multiple veterinary specialists, regular body work and chiropractic he is now back to work and better than ever.  Using Specialized saddles made all the difference in his success.  The saddle was adjusted regularly which aided in his rehab and recovery, allowing freedom to move comfortably at every stage. 

I started with my first Specialized saddle in 2012 and have been dedicated ever since.  I have saved time and money using the same saddle to refit as needed for multiple horses and not compromise comfort.  The shorter bars, lightweight design and English rigging option makes it the ideal saddle combination for my needs.
